Ristorante Piccolo

Recently, the Italian restaurant Ristorante Piccolo opened at Laugavegur 11 in Reykjavík. We went there for dinner with Ólafur, our grandson, and had a wonderful time. Augusta Ólafsson, the owner, was on duty and did an excellent job explaining the dishes to us. Augusta is a master chef with a great passion for Italian cuisine. She trained as a chef both in Iceland and Denmark.

I lost count of all the dishes we tasted – but each one was better than the last. First and foremost, the menu is exceptionally well put together – just the right balance, neither too much nor too little. Only high-quality, flavorful dishes. The restaurant itself is elegantly designed, and the service was smooth and efficient.
