Energy Bars

  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup seeds (e.g., sesame seeds, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds)
  • 1 cup muesli
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup mixture of chopped dried fruits, such as apricots, prunes, dates, or figs
  • 2/3 dl syrup
  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g good quality dark chocolate (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate in a pot, and add the syrup.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Place the mixture into muffin cups or pour it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press down lightly.
  5. Let it sit in the refrigerator overnight.
  6. Finally, cut into suitable-sized pieces.
  7. Best stored in the fridge.
