The Best Homemade Orange Marmalade
Making marmalade is incredibly easy, but it’s good to keep in mind that oranges vary in sweetness. When measuring the sugar, I recommend starting with about 400 g and adding more if needed. To check if the marmalade has the right consistency, I like to put a spoonful on a plate and chill it in the fridge. If it’s too runny, you can add a little extra pectin sugar.
If you want a bit more flavor—something with a little kick—you can simmer some chopped ginger with the oranges or add a touch of chili.

Tips for Perfect Marmalade:
✔ Use organic oranges – Since the whole fruit is used, it’s best to avoid pesticides and wax coatings.
✔ For a smoother texture – Blend the marmalade briefly with an immersion blender before jarring.
✔ Enhance the flavor – Add a splash of Grand Marnier or Cointreau for a sophisticated twist.
✔ Test for the perfect set – If a spoonful on a chilled plate wrinkles when pushed with your finger, the marmalade is ready!
Perfect on toast, with cheese, or even swirled into yogurt! 🍊✨
