Lóla Restaurant
Located on Tryggvagata in downtown Reykjavík, Lóla Restaurant was a delightful surprise. The place was packed with stylish, attractive people, and it was immediately clear we had stepped into a luxury venue.
Right from the start, we knew we were in for something special. First came the focaccia with olive oil, pearl onions, and sage. Then whipped ricotta served with sweet chili sauce, tomatoes, and oregano. And the gnocchi — rich with Parmesan and Italian ham — sealed the deal. It felt like we were dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant (or at least one worthy of “Albert’s Michelin star”), and with renowned chef Sigurður Laufdal behind the menu, that made perfect sense.
But it’s not just the food that shines. The service is just as impressive — the staff, particularly the charming and attentive women, contribute to an atmosphere of warmth and well-being.
Lóla is perfectly located in the heart of Reykjavík, right on Tryggvagata — and remarkably, there’s even parking available directly across the street.
Lóla Restaurant earns a spot in our top three restaurants in Iceland.
